“Doing Life Together”
Leaders Resources “The future of the church depends on whether it develops true community. We can get by for a while on size, skilled communication, and programs to meet every need, but unless we sense that we belong to each other; with masks off, the vibrant church of today will become the powerless church of tomorrow.” --Larry Crabb “The development of meaningful relationships where every member carries a significant sense of belonging is central to what it means to be the church.” --Randy Frazee Welcome to the CCV Community. If you have looked over our website you will have noticed that “Community” is one of the three main purposes of CCV. The above quotes will help you to understand our value for “Doing Life Together” as Followers of Jesus.
We believe that being a part of a Community (small) Group is the best way to experience…
- Meaningful Relationships
- Growth in our faith and personal application of Gods Word
- Caring for one another and meeting each others needs
- Reaching out to those who are hurting and don’t know God
- Serving together
In God’s Word we see real community taking place in the context of small groups in homes.
“They devoted themselves to the apostles teaching and to the fellowship, to the breaking of bread, and to prayer. All the believers were together and had everything in common. Every day they continued to meet together... they broke bread in their homes and ate together... and the Lord added to their number daily those who were being saved.” Acts 2:42, 44, 46-47 “Day after day, in the temple courts and from house to house they never stopped teaching and proclaiming the Good News that Jesus is the Christ.” Acts 5:42 “Greet also the church that meets at their house.” Rom. 16:5 “Aquilla and Priscilla greet you warmly in the Lord and so does the church that meets at their house.” I Cor. 16: 19 On this page you will find a list of Community groups that meet throughout the week in various cities surrounding CCV. Just click on the group and you will see the leader, address, day and time the group meets. You can just give that leader a call or show up at their home.
If you are not sure what group fits you best you can click on the
“Group Finder Questionnaire” link and fill out a short form that will help us to connect you with a group that would fit you best.
